Sorry this is incorrect for the 550, it is however correct for the RAQ4!!

On the 550 the drives are arranged front and back not left and right, a
quick skim through the manual does not reveal this either.
I seem to recall there are some pretty pictures on the 550 GUI does this not
indicate the position ? I know it does for the fans. I would look but mine
is offline right now.
