Anything that changes the underlying config files without simultaneously 
updating the PostgreSQL database will "break" the UI, whether it's webmin, 
or "old school" command line system administration tasks, etc.

DNS should be a safe service to update/manage however you want though, as 
it doesn't store anything in the database. AFAIK, that's the only one.
