I encountered the same issue after performing some of those "Exceptionally
Well Tested" (NOT!!!!) Sun Patches. The issue ended up being a problem in my
proftpd.conf file found in the '/etc' directory. I can't remember what I did
but I do remember having to visit this config file to resolve the issue.
