Hi all, I've a problem while trying to edit my crontab for eatch users. When i type "crontab -e" and then valid changes in vi, it allways tells me : "crontab: no changes made to crontab". even as root ... What should i do to solve this problem ? To "temporary" solve this problem, i edit the /var/spool/cron files, and then restart crond But it is not a solution. Thanks all for your help ... Laurent.
I create my cron files using the pico and then insert them using this syntax: crontab 'sourcefile'
then I check that the changes were made using crontab -lThis way I always have a backup of my user's cron jobs that I can restore any time.
