Hi there Revd Leonard,
I live in Australia and noticed your post on the list.cobalt.com list. I
too have had no end of trouble with UNIX stats. The only solution I have
found to work was to build my own complete stats server from the ground up.
Being a novice when I started, I have since been on a huge learning curve.
My new stats server is run from a MySQL database. Its data is shown and
tabulated using PHP4. TO setup the server on a Raq4 is simple. Just need a
database and some web sites to monitor.
I am interested in packaging the software up as single UNIX package that
creates its own database and requires minimal setup. It would be open
source naturally. And also in the true UNIX tradition free of charge.
Feel free to have a look at what I have done so far. It is still being
updated and fine tuned. Ie. Some of the charts are hard to read. But any
feed back would be much appreciated.
To visit the server go to: http://stats.flash13.com

PS the server only tracks .php files.
Sorry this is not a solution, but I might be able to help you out down the
track if your interested.
Regards,
Hamish Mackellar
