Maurice,
A) To edit croon I always use pico. To do this type "export VISUAL=pico"
and then type "crontab -e" . (without quotes of course) I like pico because
the key commands are listed at the bottom. To learn about the format of the
crontab files type "man crontab".
B) I can't really tell you what log files are safe to delete without knowing
what the file is. Most will rotate themselves so that they don't take up to
much space.
C)I would upload your .htaccess files in ascii.
I hope this helps. I know I have gotten a lot of help from the people on
this list and I appreciate it.
Ryan

Subject: [cobalt-users] help
Hi die hard users,
First I want to thank every one for helping me in the past. Many thanks.
Second I have a few questions here they come,
I have a raq4i
A) is there a manual on how to use cron what it is how to edit it and so on?
B) I downloaded my logfile and it was over the 12 MB can I just delete it?
Or replace it with a empty one?
C) I tried to use htaccess. Done everything right im sure but when I upload
my htaccess file I can still access the directory
Dos the file needs to be uploaded in a certain way like asci or binary?
D) Looking for a good cobalt raq maintenance guy with e reasonable hour rate
as u can read I'm a novice but got assigned the job.
Tasks are like updating security patches, installing applications or modules
for php and perl. Let me know if u have some free time and wan to make
Some extra pocket money :)
Thank in advance.
Maurice
