[cobalt-users] [RaQ4r] crontab

I am trying to create a root crontab,

[root /root]# crontab -e
no crontab for root - using an empty one
crontab: no changes made to crontab

I get the above, then I execute crontab -l
and it says "no crontab for root"

any ideas welcome
