More info, in the event it is helpful:
I just ran an ifconfig from the command line, and the system is still
reporting it's old IP address as an alias. I was not aware this could
happen on a plain-jane RaQ2! I can also ping the old (should be discarded)
IP across the Internet. See eth0:0 below:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:E0:00:5C:98
inet addr:204.155.147.34 Bcast:204.155.147.63
Mask:255.255.255.192
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:21902 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
TX packets:25730 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
Interrupt:4
eth0:0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:10:E0:00:5C:98
inet addr:64.90.36.144 Bcast:64.90.36.191 Mask:255.255.255.192
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:1551 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
TX packets:26 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
My guess at this point is that the alias is throwing a monkey-wrench in the
works someplace. I suppose I need to get rid of that alias IP (eth0:0), but
I don't know how. Hints?
THANKS!
