Linda, Maybe you should look into the adaptive firewall for the Qube3.
This will enhance the security on your qube and it is a free addon from
sun.
I found the adaptive firewall unnecessarily confusing and difficult to use.
Gerald installed PMFirewall on our Qube3 after our hack, and (though I
had to tweak the configuration a bit) I've found it pretty simple and easy
to deal with. It's essentially an ipchains configuration script. It's at
<http://www.pointman.org/PMFirewall/>.
I know other Qube users who just picked up a hardware firewall - and in
all honesty, if you count my time as worth something (debatable) we
probably spent more recovering from our hack than we would have on a
hardware firewall.
