This error tends to occur when sendmail doesn't know this domain belongs to 
it's localdomains.., so it gets a mail for that domain, looks up where to 
send it, sees in the DNS it should be sent to himself, and gives up since 
it can't find the domain in it's list of localdomains..


try looking if it's in /etc/mail/local-host-names
