OK, in that case I think you would require a script that could edit the
aliases file, or if there's a way to include another file in the aliases
file that can be edited from a script called by each user.

I'm not sure if the RaQ is the ideal platform for this, but it should be
possible.

I thought I read of someone on the list who asked about or had installed
some kind of webmail application that allowed people to sign up for free
accounts. If part of that was mail forwarding for each user, like many
of the free webmail providers used to offer, the editing would be done
via that application.
They would log in just like you do on Hotmail and edit your settings to
forward.
