Gerald,
On my secondary dns server (ns4) :
Apr 25 15:39:03 ns4 named[402]: Err/TO getting serial# for
"deouweschuur.be"
And this is what I get as output from : dig deouweschuur.be (from
another server)
[root log]# dig www.deouweschuur.be
; <<>> DiG 9.2.1 <<>> www.deouweschuur.be
;; global options: printcmd

And still got the error on my secondary dns server.
Michael stauber (solarspeed) has put in the
RaQ34-Solarspeed.net-AV-Suite Release 3.0.1 though
Could this be anything where the error is coming from ?
Thanks
bob

Look at your SOA records are both nameservers in there.
dig host.domain.tld SOA
or just
dig host.domain.tld
should show the nameservers.
You have to tell the master nameserver who the slave is.
And the slave has to know that he is serving as a slave for the
domain.
You may substitue primary for master and secondary for slave above.
Those names are depreciated (kind of like Sun)
