Its all a damn shame. The Qube3 is a damn fine product for a particular
market segment which currently gets by using personal filesharing on
workstation class machines with consumer class Oses and then misses out on
all the other Qube3 capabilities.

So whats out there with the same essential features of the Qube3 ... is
small, stable, fairly easy to manage, and supported?

You know MacOS X Server is looking quite attractive, but an Xserve is a BIG
beast. If Apple can make both a 12" G4 PowerBook and a 17" G4 PowerBook,
why can't they do a 12" Xserver?  I have a G4 Cube and it runs MacOS X
Server very nicely ... its a bit taller than a Qube3, but has essentially
has the same footprint. Surely it wouldn't be hard to put the components of
a G4 Cube into a chassis the size of a RaQ instead of having to the
"lengths" of an Xserver.

Having said that, I've heard rumours of an independent product based on
Apple bits ... an iBox.  Links I've found are;
