RE: [cobalt-users] ACTIVE MONITOR: Web service down

Dear Mark,

I think I know the problem, the update from Sun recently (PHP and
postgresql) is giving problem if you have install update of PHP4.12 from
pkgmaster. It happened to me.

What I did was to uninstall the SUN update, uninstall the PHP4.12 from
pkgmaster, and reinstall the PHP4.12 from pkgmaster. Then your web
server will start.

Hope this help.

Thanks,
Siao

Subject: [cobalt-users] ACTIVE MONITOR: Web service down

Hi All,

Just been informed that the web service is down, however i can access
the GUI.

Rebooting the server did not fix the problem. trying to do a httpd
restart from ssh gives the following error.

Syntax error on line 58 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp4.so into server: libgd.so.1:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/httpd

If i comment out this line in the httpd.conf file i can now see the site
on the server, but the new site is in php so this doesnt work.

Can anyone help me to fix this error.

Kind Regards.

Mark Priest
