We've successfully implemented it but it isn't fun and IMHO, working with 
Access is a real pain.

You can get a fee converter from mysql.com.  Look for the MyAccess download 
on this page:
http://www.mysql.com/downloads/os-win32.html

We've used it to successfully convert an access db to MySQL.
