[cobalt-users] REAL impressive... Not.

I know we've kicked the topic of Sun's support of the Qube appliance around
here in the last couple of weeks. Well I've been updating our Qube 3 with
all the patches, etc. from the last month or so (got busy with other
things). I wasn't sure of the actual order to apply them since the GUI does
not place them in the same order that the email alerts show. So I went to
the Sun Qube website and found where the patches are listed, in the correct
order. Only problem was, it had not been updated since MARCH and there have
been THREE patches since then...

So I finally found an email link (and man they don't make THAT easy...) and
sent them the following:

This is NOT intended to sound mean or nasty or anything but I have a REAL
concern with the frequency that the Cobalt Qube 3 Patch Page gets updated. I
get email alerts from you folks when new patches are available and I would
think that the web page should be updated at the time those emails go out
since MANY of us refer to this page for additional information on the
patch(s) (i.e. will it reboot the server, etc).

The latest entry on the Patch Page is for PHP & PostgreSQL Security Update
4.0.1   Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-15959.pkg

So that seemed to work as it should :-)

I received an email alert on Sat 3/29/2003 4:14 AM for
Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16402 and this STILL does not show on the update
page.

And I just received notification of two more today:

Tue 4/8/2003 4:09 AM

Qube3-All-Kernel-4.0.1-2.2.16C35-III-1

Qube3-All-Security-4.0.1-16356

And neither of these show !

Overall I have been very pleased with the Qube products but I want to have
faith and confidence in them going down the road and this inconsistency has
me a little concerned.

I would appreciate any feedback you can give me on this :-)
