You're attempting to perpetuate a common myth here. We're an itty
bitty little no count shop which is physically located in Pueblo, CO and
we have copper hanging here on the building from both QWest and McCloud
and they are indeed totally separate circuits. Additionally they're both
DS2 drops (DS2 = T2 = 4xT1s = 96 DS0s) each of which provide 6.312 Mbps
capacity of which we smoothly operate off less than a T1s worth of
bandwidth - and I'd be willing to bet your provider does the very same
thing but that unlike us, who has never claimed more than a single T1 in
operation, they claim the loop size rather than what they actually have
turned up. The thought that, based upon your statements regarding local
loops, we have more clout than your provider, Dialtone, does sends shivers
up my spine.
If our experience here is even remotely indicative of how the
industry actually works, getting DS2s dropped instead of a DS1s was
as easy as giving the install crew coffee and donuts on our cool, shady
front porch.
But lets cut to the chase here. Interland's (the parent company of
your provider) Report of Second Quarter Results show a net loss from
for that quarter as well as for the previous 6 months. The bright side,
and there is always a bright side, is that Interland is predicting that
their third quarter losses will be some $25,000,000.00 less than they
were in the second quarter:

Yes indeed... with financials like we can most certainly rest
assured that that all those DSwhatevers and OCyoubetchas are fully lit and
not overloaded... I don't suppose you'd be interested in buying some swamp
land in Florida, would you?
