ok,
i've had a look but can't seem to find a solution (if there is one!) to this
problem:
i have a domain set up on my box (www.domain.com) with a catch-all address.
i want to set up a mailbox to use for mailing lists so that i can
automatically catch bounce backs.
each mailing list email would be sent from a unique address (e.g.
listXXXX@xxxxxxxxxx) where XXXX is a unique identifier for the destination
email address. a script would then check this mailbox and process any bounce
backs.
so basically, i need to set up an alias with the regular expression form
list[0-9]{4}.
i still want the catch-all address to exist topick up any other mails. can i
just add this to virtusertable and do a makemap hash?
is there another way of doing it?
this is NOT for spam purposes. this is our own controlled opt-out mailing
list for the customers of our online shop. we currently have nearly 10,000
and are expecting this to rise sharply in the next few months. i'm not
looking for comercial software at the moment as if i can sort this bit of
it, i can do all the rest of the coding myself.
cheers
