nope ... PHP will run fine without MySQL ... but it is one of the mayor
open DBs arround.
By this fact the PHP Group had decided to implement the mysql functions
in PHP.

rpm says this ? if you do what ? The Line above "rpm -qa" is only to
documate how
to get the Version installed (maybe by the PkgMaster/SolarSpeed PKG) and
against which version this PHP was compiled.
