The author of CMU says it's out of beta as far as he's concerned, and
it's fine, but it appears as if Sun isn't officially supporting it.
He had to make changes to it to get it to work on the 550; that's why it
went into beta in the first place.
And while it now works fine to move sites from other platforms TO the
550, it cannot restore 550 to 550 <frown>.
And after trying to fix it, he ended up giving up on it and just taking
out that capability.
It does seem to back up properly on the 550, and some people have
reported to me they're still using it for backup, but know they'll have
to restore manually if necessary.
It's a shame Sun has never officially supported a CMU solution for the
550 <frown>.
