APOP should not have ever been enabled. We looked into trying to use it
quite some time ago on a Raq3i but were never able to get it to work with
Outlook Express at the time and I recall that Eudora was one of the only
mail clients at that time to support it under Windows so the customer
declined.
For grins though.. had it been enabled what suggestions would you have
advised? I'm open to trying anything to resolve this problem.

Was APOP ever enabled for this user? I know there used to be an issue
with the user ID not being deleted from the APOP db properly when the
setting was disabled.
