[cobalt-users] [Qube 3] continual rapid log on attempts via PPOE

I run a Qube 3 as my family's e-mail & web server.  We have a static IP to
our ISP via a wireless connection.  The QUBE connects via PPOE.

Yesterday at 4:00 a.m., my ISP reported that my QUBE was attempting to log
on to the ISP at an alarming rate. It was attempting this every other
second.  So much so that my ISP had to block the connection from my wireless
radio.

My QUBE is normally logged on to the ISP all the time, and stays that way
with out problems.

What might have caused this, and how do I prevent that from happening in the
future?
