Ah. Here's a SWAG: try "make clean". Or blow away the whole SA directory and try a clean install from tarball (skipping the dependencies, of course, since you have them now.) Then do "make" and "make test" again. Then you know there's no cruft from a previous failed "make" hanging around.
I don't know if that will work, but it's what I would try if I was sitting at your terminal.
