Yup, it was "make test" that caused these errors (only about 28% of the
tests performed by the operation actually succeed). From instructions on
http://bluebird.sinauer.com/~morse/cobalt/procmail.html I downloaded and
attempted to install the dependencies:
PodParser, podlators and Time-HiRes (latest versions of all)
These required the following, which I also downloaded and installed:
ANSIColor-1.06
File-Spec-0.82
HTML-Parser-3.27
HTML-Tagset-3.03
ExtUtils-MakeMaker-6.05 wasn't actually required, but was recommended the
first time I ran the SA "make" (not makefile). So I got that too.
After these were all successfully made, tested and installed I ran the SA
Makefile.PL and make again; theu ran happily without any complains. I then
ran "make test" and all hell broke loose :-(

No previous installs unless you count the time I ran the SA Makefile.PL
script and realised I still needed some dependancies or the time I ran the
"make" and was informed I should use a new version of makemaker *phew*.

No problems. And thanks for any assistance.
Richard.
