Yes.  You must install a more recent Python though.  When I install Mailman,
I install the newer Python to a non-standard location and set the location
of the Python binary in the Mailman ./configure step using the appropriate
flag (see ./configure --help).

I've rummaged through the configure help, but I cant find anything other than this on setting location: 
Host type:
  --build=BUILD           configure for building on BUILD [BUILD=HOST]
  --host=HOST             configure for HOST [guessed]
  --target=TARGET         configure for TARGET [TARGET=HOST]
Are these the correct options or am I just being a bit thick ?
