Hi Gerald
Thanks for the info but I figured that out last night. I gave it a try but
it still didn't work. I found some more info that suggested that postmaster
is not started with an option that allows TCP/IP sockets by default on Raq
based systems.
1. Do you know what file I would need to edit to make this service start
with this "-i" option (i.e. is there a file that is the equivalent of an
autoexec.bat that starts all of these services when the Raq starts up)?
2. Is it true that if you set up your ODBC connection without a server/port
setting that it uses the unix sockets instead? I tried that but it still
didn't work.
I just can't figure this out. I've been researching this for days now. Is it
possible that there is something wrong with the PostgreSQL ODBC driver on
the Raq XTR's? I've only had it a week so its not like its a non standard
config or anything.... <pulls hair out>
Thanks
