Sorry, I haven't done a PHP upgrade to 4.3.0 myself (yet). On my list
of "things to get to" someday though...

Are you putting this all on one long line? I usually do mine like
this (one option per line, with a trailing backslash on all but the
final line):
./configure \
- --option-1 \
- --option-2 \
- --final-option
- From the message you listed, it would appear that you've got a
"--enable" with a space after it someplace... as listed, it appears
to be the --enable-wddx=shared line. It's listed on your message as:
- --enabled
- -wddx=shared
- --
