In addition to the other options that have been mentioned, you might think
about Partition Magic or Ghost. They (at least partition-magic) will allow
you to "interactively" resize a drive - any partition to include linux swap
partitions and make them whatever size you want. Then you just put the drive
back in the box and reboot. I am currently running on a laptop with three
operating systems - and it was all "configured" and setup with partition
magic (and no, I don't sell it, I just happen to like tools that "work").
