In the situation your proposing I think your time, effort and $$ would be better spent simply installing bigger drives in your current server or if it has the SCSI port on the back of it considering attaching a external SCSI drive for added space.
If you were planning on buying 4 raq's anyway, why not simply put fewer sites per machine and spread your clients out over more machines?
Bigger hard drives make more sense to me but if you are looking for a way to distribute the total traffic more, this is one way to go :)
