First off, thanks much Bruce. You have saved me a lot of work. I still
have some problems though.

and under the Site Management/Site Settings there is a place to add
email server aliases.
Like web, the RaQ will default to accepting email for
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Nobody sends mail like that, so you'd want
to enter 'nomealaska.org' as an email server alias, so mail to
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx will work. (Same rules as web alias apply for
multiple domain handling).
I had a 'doh' moment here. I had nomealaska.org entered under site
settings/email aliases but when I tried entering nomealaska.org under
control panel/email parameters/hosts & domains, then hitting save, it
wouldn't take when I would return to that page to check.. Turns out I
wasn't again hitting Save Changes under the Control Panel save changes.
Here's what's happening: I set up an 8 letter username and then a
full name email alias for a user. I couldn't get it to work with
the alias until I added it in the virtualusertable.
Hm. This should happen automatically when you 'save' the user...
I just tried adding another user (user-no3) and get the following errors
(without editing the vtable):
Jan 27 13:26:17 www sendmail[31161]: h0RMQCL31161: from=<me@xxxxxxx>,

Relaying denied. Please check your mail first or restart your mail session.
So I'm still missing something.
I've got our outgoing SMTP server set to use smtp.gci.net on our PC
email programs.
So smtp.gci.net is set as your 'smart relay server'??
No. I set this and it was like the dam breaking as I was tailing my
maillog. All the returned mail error messages from the test messages I
had sent. Maybe this will help. User-no2 is now working, the one I had
manually edited in the virtualusertable.
Email server alias and domain
alias should both be 'nomealaska.org'

They are now. Would I need mail.nomealaska.org under email aliases if
I'm using that as incoming server name?
Thanks again,
