[cobalt-users] chmod 4755 /usr/lib/authenticate - problems!!!

Hi all

I changed the usr/lib/authenticate file to chmod 755 as a work around for 
the current threat. (Nasty Raq Hack)

This caused the .htaccess problems, so I have changed it back to 4755 and 
this causes any .htaccess protected folder to be totally unavailable.

error msgs:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable 
to complete your request.


Any ideas, I am at my wits end with all of this...
