[cobalt-users] subdomain with new virtual site - possible?

Hi all

I have set up a new virtual site that is to be a subdomain of an existing 
site.

ie:
www.mysiteyadayada.co.uk - exists as 1 virtual site
xyz.mysiteyadayada.co.uk - exists as new virtual site

Problem is I cannot get the DNS to resolve for the sub domain site.
I have been scouring google and cobalt users and stumbled across one post 
claiming that it is impossible to have a subdomian as a new virtual site. 
The post carried on to say that this is only possible through having the 
subdomain site on its own, or a different IP.

I know the virtual site works as I can telnet in to the IP and make a 
request for page.htm on the command line.

Can anyone put me right on this?
