Subject: [cobalt-users] reboot problem after raq3 to 550 upgrade
I recently upgraded my 3i via the 550 OSRCD. I upgraded the bios first per
the instructions on this forum, then performed the OS restore. After the
restore the system shutdown to reboot and then hung. I discovered that I
could restart the system by using the Select: Boot from disk ,and it's been
that way since. Otherwise it works perfectly. Anyone seen this behavior
before?
Thanks

Terrance,
It did NOT hang. It was trying to do a netboot. I had this problem
as well, so I plugged in my trusty null modem cable, and sure enough,
that was the problem.
It selects "Boot from Net" as the primary, I believe once you change it
to another method, it works fine then.
