Yes, exactly. It seems to poll the net connection continuously.  To
explain my original post further, I originally did the "upgrade" without
incident. Bios upgrade, no problem.  Raq550 OSRCD no problem.  It
rebooted after install without issue.

And then the trouble.  I proceeded to apply the system update packages
in the order in which they appeared in the BluLinq update window.  Big
mistake.
They don't appear in right install order.  And they're not dated.  So I
decided to return to a Raq4.  The "devil you know" etc. So I attempted a
return to a Raq4 OSR. Didn't work. Incompatible bios. So back to the 550
OSRCD. And now this problem.

Seems like it keeps to boot from net :S

When I did ANOTHER restore however (same OS that gave the error, so 550)
it
DID work again...
