tar is a tool <smile>.
It's a fairly manual operation, but if you're going to do it a lot you
could automate it yourself or hire someone to automate it for you.
If you're only going to do it once and aren't sure if you can do it you
might want to hire someone to do it for you.
We've written an adduser script that can be customized for use in
setting up users/domains in a RedHat box; I can send it to you, but
except for it's self documentation, I really don't support it.
Cobalt virtual host containers in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf are pretty
complex; you can do what you need a lot more simply.
