Re: [cobalt-users] FTP problems and Site Administrators...

At 11:13 AM 1/14/2003, you wrote:
Hi all,
I reached the 32 user group limit with my admin.
So, I can't upload files on all 32+ sites on my RAQ3 using FTP.

Example:
I need to upload files to my 33th virtual site (/home/sites/site33/web).
I can't FTP as admin.
It seems I can solve this problem creating a Site Administrator.
But when I log in as Site Administrator (siteadmin1) I'm pointed to this folder:
/users/siteadmin1/
Here, I find a subfolder called Web.

How can I update the content on the official (site33) virtual site when I FTP as siteadmin1 (since I cannot reach the "/home/sites/site33/web" folder)?

In your ftp program, see if you can't set the remote directory. If so, set it to something like /web or //web or ///web or /../../web.
/web works for me in wsftp.
Second choice would be to use putty and winscp2. Then you could probably use admin for more than 32 sites and using ssh instead of ftp is more secure anyway.
