You're in the 'users' directory for siteadmin1 when you connect via
FTP.
Each virtual site has 4 directories, all located under
/home/sites/siteXX. They are "web" "users" "certs" and "logs"
There should be a message which displays upon FTP connection that
reads:
*************** Site Administrator FTP instructions ***************
This session begins in your user home directory at /users/siteadmin1
Your personal web directory is /users/siteadmin1/web, accessible at
the URL http://<your.site.domain>/~siteadmin1/
As a site administrator, you can access the site home directory at /
The site web directory is /web, accessible at the URL
http://<your.site.domain>/
To upload to your personal web directory, type:
"cd web", then "put <file>", where <file> is the full file name of
the document on your local computer.
To upload to the site web directory, type:
"cd /web", then "put <file>" where <file> is the full file name of
the document on your local computer.
*********************************************************************
So, like it says, to put your files in the site "web" directory,
connect via FTP and then do "cd /web" then "put" all your files...
Many FTP programs let you set a 'default folder upon connection' -
just put "/web" in their and your FTP program will do this for you
automatically each time you connect.
