Gerald,

5 years ago I paid 350 UKP for a 850 meg hard drive, I also had to pay 170
UKP for a 33.6k modem.

I got burned, judging by todays prices. But they are todays prices !

I do not intend to get burned again, and so I am not and have not rushed
into paying out good money for computer equipment that will inevitably be
EOLed in 1 to 2 years tops.

Sorry if you did pay out good cash, but I guess somebody had to. If I was in
your position with a stock of recent RAQs, I would be quietly selling the
things off on Ebay, to people who don't realise the consequences of buying
into this market.
Alternatively, set up a rent-to-own scheme for your clients and let them
take the burden of renewal and replacement.

Either way, Sun aren't interested. We are the only ones who stand to lose
out, by keeping faith with a rapidly ageing product, which loses value
faster than your average car.

Sorry.
