SpamAssassin itself doesn't require Perl 5.8; it may be easier to install 
the required pods in your stock directory and let it use the installed 
Perl. I've got a step-by-step for this (details of working through Kim 
Schulz's posted outline on my Qube3) at

ll need more than just the four posted pods:
