Personally I think Mailscanner needs F-Prot to be a valuable service.
Otherwise it's just a little spam protection and guards against some e-mail
client vulnerability by removing attachments. F-Prot does a great job with
Mailscanner.

I would object.

With its companion, spamassasin, it is an extremely effective anti-spam tool. RTFM http://spamassassin.org/

try this - straight from the website:

isnt that more than just a little spam protection and attachment removal?
