Personally I think Mailscanner needs F-Prot to be a valuable service. Otherwise it's just a little spam protection and guards against some e-mail client vulnerability by removing attachments. F-Prot does a great job with Mailscanner.
I would object. With its companion, spamassasin, it is an extremely effective anti-spam tool. RTFM http://spamassassin.org/
It does much more than just remove attachments - again, RTFM: http://www.sng.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailscanner/newinv4.shtml
try this - straight from the website:"Checks and traps added for all known Outlook, Outlook Express, Internet Explorer and Eudora security vulnerabilities."
isnt that more than just a little spam protection and attachment removal?sorry, you just pushed the big red button labelled "underrate one of my favorite apps"...
