Fortunately the list was changed so that your email address isn't
attached to every post. Unfortunately there are some lazy/rude people on
the list who don't take the time to snip email addresses from the body
of the post, (or anything from the post they're replying to), or have
their email program configured to put the From: at the top of the reply.
I'm not familiar with mailman, but maybe the part of the program that
turns x@xxxxx into a mailto: link could be disabled which may stop some
of the harvesting on those errant posts.

If people would take a moment to snip any email addresses from their
replies, it wouldn't be a problem on this list. If you put your email
address in your sig, oh well.
