A bit more was said than needed to answer the post.

DK> Maybe if you post your schedule, everyone can hold off

Others have stated their list philosophy. I stated mine. This
has nothing to do with me particularly.

DK>
DK> Ooops, I guess not everyone can wait a few weeks for help.
Oops, I guess I never asked anyone to.

DK>
DK> Good memory, for someone who only checks the list every three
DK> weeks. That's a lot of posts to memorize.
You're intelligent enough to search the archives on your own. Do
a bit of homework. Perhaps some posts stick out more than
others?
DK> > I can't speak to what's in between, and frankly lack the time

DK>
DK> Yeah, check the archives for his posts. Quite the double-
DK> standard he has for flaming. Seems he's the only one allowed
DK> to do it. I missed that in the FAQ.
So frequent help permits frequent advertising, and nobody else
should have a problem... thanks for clarifying.
DK> > If it were once in a while, I could understand. However, I

DK>
DK> You have some very selective reading filters turned on.
Nonsense. I never claimed lack of non-salesish messages.
Everyone knows Jeff has provided an enormous amount of on-list
pro bono assistance. However, many also seem to feel he's been
crossing the AUP line a bit too often.
DK> > Much of the time, people will indicate they are ready to

DK>
DK> When someone asks about a PKG that is only available for $$
DK> what do you suggest? They be ignored? Jeff mentioned the
DK> package is available from him or the author. What more do you
DK> want?
Give the details off-list. "Michael has developed ..., which is
available from him directly. Others, including myself, also can
provide you with this; contact me off-list for details." When a
post becomes too salesish, it incites
DK> > Quite frankly, I'm offended that you continue using the list

DK> >
DK>
DK> I'm surprised you can continue posting this as I thought you
DK> were in jail. (Correct me if things have changed.)
Difference: Your "claim" has no basis in fact. Jeff has noted
publicly the problems to which I refer. I also followed up
indicating that I wasn't singling him out for that, lest anyone
think he was a minority. The problem needs to be fixed, but a
huge number of others are in the same situation.
DK> > Cool it.
DK>
DK> I see we have the new self-appointed list owner.
Oh, did I step on your toes? No, you're more than welcome to
continue being official list cop. Just be advised that others
will voice their opinions, too.
