A bit more was said than needed to answer the post.

Others have stated their list philosophy. I stated mine. This
has nothing to do with me particularly.

DK> Ooops, I guess not everyone can wait a few weeks for help.

Oops, I guess I never asked anyone to.

You're intelligent enough to search the archives on your own. Do
a bit of homework. Perhaps some posts stick out more than
others?

DK> Yeah, check the archives for his posts. Quite the double-

So frequent help permits frequent advertising, and nobody else
should have a problem... thanks for clarifying.

Nonsense. I never claimed lack of non-salesish messages.
Everyone knows Jeff has provided an enormous amount of on-list
pro bono assistance. However, many also seem to feel he's been
crossing the AUP line a bit too often.

DK>
DK> When someone asks about a PKG that is only available for $$

DK> package is available from him or the author. What more do you
DK> want?

Give the details off-list. "Michael has developed ..., which is
available from him directly. Others, including myself, also can
provide you with this; contact me off-list for details." When a
post becomes too salesish, it incites

Difference: Your "claim" has no basis in fact. Jeff has noted
publicly the problems to which I refer. I also followed up
indicating that I wasn't singling him out for that, lest anyone
think he was a minority. The problem needs to be fixed, but a
huge number of others are in the same situation.

DK> > Cool it.
DK>
DK> I see we have the new self-appointed list owner.

Oh, did I step on your toes? No, you're more than welcome to
continue being official list cop. Just be advised that others
will voice their opinions, too.
