RE: [cobalt-users] long usernames on RaQ 550

When you create a new user account in that domain.
Use a USERname such as user001
For the email alias: nigianfortune

This will work.

Onderwerp: [cobalt-users] long usernames on RaQ 550

We've got a client with an email address:

ngianfortune@xxxxxxxxxx

When he attempts to pop for email, he gets the following error:

<snip>
-ERR [SYS/TEMP] Unable to get 4temporary drop name
</snip>

A google showed only that one ISP is warning their clients that a recent
upgrade to their pop server requires usernames of eleven characters or
less; "ngianfortune" is 12 characters long.

A test shows that an eleven-character username works fine, so I'm
presuming that this is a limitation of the popper used on the RaQ 550.

Has anyone seen or found a workaround, or got any ideas?

Jeff
