I tried an experiment.  I pulled the drive out of my qube3, installed 2
new 120gb drives, and reloaded the OS from a raq4i restore CD.  As you
indicate, it did not appear to touch the 2nd drive, but I did have the
'Add Storage' button on the storage gui, and that allowed me to add the
2nd drive.

So either it does take an OS restore to allow the 2nd drive to be
recognized, or I just did something wrong in my earlier attempts with
the raq.
