Hello,
We had a similar problem with Hotmail users - it could not be worse with
their so called "recent anti-spam software upgrades", but no one has
complained to us as yet...
If we had a forward to a user with a Hotmail account, mail would be
delivered to the user's hotmail address, but would end up in their junk
mail folder. They would then have to login, and manually set the options
to say that these forwarded messages were "not junk mail". But I'd say
that we will probably have the same problems now, considering the msn /
hotmail anti-spam software upgrades.
Cheers,
Andy.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Problems fwd: RaQ3 user to his msn.com acct
Hi -
is anyone else having trouble forwarding emails to
customer's "msn.com" email account?
I have a customer who has a POP3 user setup on my
RaQ3, which is forwarded to his msn.com account - mail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
forwards to: hisacct@xxxxxxx
My mqueue is getting slammed with messages where these
fwd: messages are being "MDeferred: Connection reset
my smtp.blah, blah, msn.com", or "Read: mail error",
rejected by smtp. ... etc, etc.
MSN tech support wasn't very helpful, other than
saying they just implemented new anti-spam stuff on
their email service, and figured this is why I'm
getting "deferred - connection reset" messages.
At any case, all these bounced messages cannot go back
into my customer's mail user spool, or else they just
fwd: back to his msn accnt, creating a loop.
In the meantime - I've disabled his forwarding to msn.
Anyone else having this issue, or have any
suggestions on how to solve this?
Below are some excerpts from the mqueue - it keeps
filling up in a few hours to the point where no one on
the entire RaQ3 is receiving mail, and I'm having to
rm * the mqueue ... doing a force sendmail -q sort of
freezes sending out all those bounced messages back to
msn.

Etc, etc., etc - hundreds of these. Most are "spam"
emails he has received at his pop3 account, which are
then fwd: to his msn account. But, some of the
messages are legitimate - from family, test messages
to me, etc.
Thanks in advance,
HPP
