That might be because it was a loaded question - you're really asking Cobalt
users why Sun chose to handle forwarded email the way they did.  Since we're
not Sun, we'd just be speculating.

It's possible that wasn't Sun's intent or this was an oversight.  It would
be trivial for Sun to patch their code to bounce email for all users,
regardless of whether they have an external forward setup.

Answered above.  I agree that what you want would probably be more desirable
for most RaQ administrators.  Contact Sun if you want your voice heard.
This isn't an official Sun forum and complaining about it hear won't get you
far, unless you're looking for someone on this list to modify the code to do
what you want.
