The MX record gets the mail delivered to your server.
Two are good one for your server and one for a backup server, preferably on a
different network, in a different part of the world.
The MX record to your server can be any domain that resides on the server.
preferably though a domain that has a ptr record. if your server is
ns1.domain.com (the main site) then use that for your MX record. It will work
fine. Some people make a mail.domain.com, it is not necessary.
Ao, you really only need one MX record pointing to a domain that will resolve
to an IP address on your server!
