Hi All
I am having a problem getting my server registered as a nameserver for .com
domains.
I have the domain mydomain.com registered
I have spoken to my registrar and they told me to complete the online Host
Template form at Network Solutions.
I have done this and had a confirmation e-mail from Network Solutions (auto
responder) on 22.10.02 or 10.22.02 if you prefer!
I have entered our raq4r as ns.ourdomain.co.uk as the nameserver with the IP
address of our raq4
There is a record ns.ourdomain.co.uk. in a ###.##.126.58
I have set up the domain mydomain.com pointing to our nameserver
ns.ourdomain.co.uk etc.
I still can not access the domain and a lookup on the Nameserver records at
internic for the IP address or the nameserver (ns.ourdomain.co.uk) returns
"no match for nameserver....."
Either I have done something stupid or it is the slowest registration
process in the world!!
Should it have gone through by now or is it really that slow?
Can anyone see a flaw in my seemingly flawless plan?
As this is the first .com domain we are hosting (all the other .co.uk
domains are working fine) I am not sure if there is something else I should
be doing.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Regards
Paul.
