Last note for the night....

I ran through the OS-Restore process with the proper NIC card, while watching on
the serial-port for what might be causing my stall-out.  Here's where it pauses,
after rebooting once:

Partition check:
 hdb:
VFS: Cannot open root device 03:01
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:01

It appears that it doesn't like this hard drive perhaps?  Is that a time-stamp at the end
there? (03:01)... if so, I wonder if indeed my clock battery is dead, as I tried a couple of times
and end on that same message...
