"THIRD" fan, what kind of a RaQ do you have?
Or is your colo "blowing smoke"?

There are two fans on RaQ3/4s One by the CPU and one in the power supply!

A word of caution about fans!!!
They are switched by an integrated circuit. If you destroy the integrated 
circuit by using the wrong kind of fan, or somehow shorting the leads out, it 
can be BAD-NEWS!
